Bush to build-ready. Clearing, brush cutting, grubbing and stump removal for house sites, driveways, firebreaks and property lines across Campbell River, Quadra Island and the Discovery Islands.
Most rural lots on the north island start as second-growth forest, salal and slash. We clear only what your project needs: a house site, a driveway corridor, a septic field area, a firebreak, or a boundary line, so you keep the trees that give the property its value.
Where the ground does not need to be disturbed, we cut and remove without full excavation. That protects topsoil and drainage and keeps costs down.
Every lot is different, so we quote after a site visit. Pricing depends on tree size and density, slope, access, how debris is handled, and whether equipment has to be barged.

Clearing is often the first step of a bigger project, so it pays to check the rules before trees come down:

Based in Campbell River and Quadra Island, we serve all surrounding areas and regularly barge equipment to Cortes Island, Read Island, Sonora Island, West and East Thurlow Island, and the other Discovery Islands. We also take on work in the Comox Valley. If your property is boat- or barge-access only, ask us. Our fleet is sized and rigged for barge transport.
Jagged Mountain Excavating is family-run, with four generations of earthworks experience and more than 15 years operating on Vancouver Island and the Discovery Islands. We are BC Safe Certified, carry certified blasting operators for rock that a machine can't move, and serve 10+ islands with a barge-ready fleet. One crew can clear, build the driveway, trench utilities, install the septic and prep the foundation, so you are not coordinating several contractors.
It depends on tree density, slope, access and debris disposal. We quote after a site visit. Call 778-785-7333 or request a quote.
