A driveway on the coast fails because of water, not traffic. Ours are built from the subgrade up, with the right material in the right layers and a plan for where the water goes. We build new driveways, rebuild failing ones, and resurface tired gravel.

We quote every driveway after a site visit. Length, slope, soil, drainage, rock and material haul distance all affect the price.
Our Process
- Site visit. We walk the route, check grade, soil, wet spots and where the driveway meets the road
- Written quote and permits. A clear quote, plus guidance on the MoTT or City access permit and BC 1 Call locates
- Clear and strip. Corridor cleared, organics stripped to a stable subgrade
- Build the base. Culverts set, then fabric where needed, base material placed and compacted in lifts
- Finish and drain. Crush top graded with crown or cross-slope, ditches shaped, site cleaned up
Permits: Access onto a Public Road
- MoTT access permit: If your driveway connects to a provincial road, including most rural roads on Quadra Island and in the regional district, you need an access permit from the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit before you build the connection. MoTT sets rules for location, sight lines and culvert size at the ditch.
- City of Campbell River: Inside city limits, driveway connections to municipal roads go through the City.
- BC 1 Call before digging: Before any excavation we request a locate through BC 1 Call so buried hydro, gas, telecom and water lines are marked. The service is free and is the expected first step before any ground disturbance.

Service Areas
Based in Campbell River and Quadra Island, we serve all surrounding areas and regularly barge equipment to Cortes Island, Read Island, Sonora Island, West and East Thurlow Island, and the other Discovery Islands. We also take on work in the Comox Valley. If your property is boat- or barge-access only, ask us. Our fleet is sized and rigged for barge transport.

We have certified blasting operators for rock that a machine can't remove.
